Xiamen and Carrara |
Addtime:2007-12-21 |
The Region Tuscany, that for years has directly set out or supported initiatives for increasing investments and exchanges between Italy and China, especially in support of small- and medium-sized companies that are the productive backbone of the region, has made one further step towards integration by supporting cooperation between CarraraFiere and the Chinese Xiamen Golden Trust Exhibition in the area of fairs and exhibition. These considerations led the Fair of Carrara and the Fair of Xiamen to sign an agreement, which has been formalised during the Stone Xiamen Fair that ended on Sunday 11th March, which also hosted a presentation of CarraraMarmotec 2007 to the Chinese operators.
"Signing a cooperation agreement between CarraraFiere and the Golden Trust Exhibition ---stated Paris Mazzanti, CEO of CarraraFiere, at the end of the ceremony---is an essential step in the continuation of a relationship of cooperation between the two organisations which hold fairs in the field of stone materials and technology, but which intend to kick-start a broader cooperation that will boost the development of initiatives to the benefit of the Italian and Chinese companies. The fair industry, which is considered a real meeting place for the businessmen of all the geographical and productive regions of the world---concluded Mazzanti---can play a key role in trade as well as in the promotion of the productive systems, with a view to the economic growth of both countries".
The agreement signed in Xiamen establishes that the parties shall jointly locate investment opportunities and potentials for the Italian and Chinese companies, developing fairs in several fields, involving the companies of both countries and joining forces also in the marble and technology industry to promote the two specialist trade fairs: CarraraMarmotec and Stone Xiamen Fair, which will officially take part in the Marmotec in 2007.
Under the agreement, the fairs of Carrara and Xiamen will meet every six months to review the results of their surveys to find joint activities in the area of fairs and keep the guidelines of their cooperation updated at all times. |
